What We Do

“Cuddle Cots are a cold cot unit that a Stillborn child is placed in – at hospital, home or at a funeral home – allowing families the opportunity to spend more time with them before their funeral. The cold helps to preserve the body and gives families a longer period to spend with their loved one.”

Discovering, after Maggie’s birth, that not every family had access to cuddle cots was quite upsetting. I made up my mind to fund raise for an additional cot locally.

Maggie’s Stillbirth Legacy Fundraising page went live on Facebook in September 2015, just three months after her death. Alongside my family, friends and other Angel families we auction off donated goods through our Facebook page.

What do We Auction?

We accept donations from both local people and large companies. We also use some of the funds generated to buy more goods for auction. Our team work tirelessly buying, collecting, sorting, storing, cleaning, shipping and delivering all these goods daily.

Goods range from household items, toys and games, garden accessories, alcohol and much more.

We rely on the generosity of people locally – both to donate and buy – and we are rarely let down. We have such a large community willing to help us keep Maggie’s legacy alive and all this helps both ourselves and the other angel families to get through every day.

If you would like to make a donation then contact us via the Facebook fundraising page or email us – info@maggiesstillbirthlegacy.org.uk
